A.T.(Fred) Zirkle, Founder and CEO Fred has personally built, bought and sold businesses in 11 countries. Fred has served as president and ceo for both public and privately-held companies including president and ceo of Key Tronic Corp. (computer hardware, $180 MM annual revenues), president of Alpnet, Inc. (computer software/services with offices in 12 countries) and president of VentureSum (venture capital). While based in London, Fred acquired and managed the integration of companies in 11 countries. An astute individual, Fred has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, London Financial Times, Forbes, Fortune and Business Week. He has consulted with numerous businesses concerning financing, expansion and strategic planning. Fred is past president of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA), past chairman of M&A Source, a Certified Business Fellow, and past president of ACG-Utah. Upon receiving his B.A. at Duke University, Fred was drafted by the NY Jets, but chose to pursue a business career.
Chad Burnett, Senior M&A Advisor Chad's financial and business experience makes him adept in assessing the individual needs of sellers and then matching those sellers with the most appropriate buyers/investors. Chad specializes in the consumer products industry with an emphasis on hobby/craft/scrapbooking and outdoor/sporting goods. Nevertheless, he continues to advise clients in a variety of industries. Prior to joining IndustryPro in 1999, Chad served as an executive and consultant to both private and public companies. Chad has been on both sides of the buy/sell table, and his experience in running and then selling his 45-year-old family business gave him a first-hand knowledge of the emotions, time commitment and processes involved in selling a successful mid-market business. Chad enjoys spending time with his family and at his ranch in southern Utah, and wishes that he had more time to fly his high performance experimental aircraft. Chad earned a B.S. degree in management from the University of Utah and a joint master's degree (MBA/MIB) from Pepperdine University in conjunction with the European Business School in Germany.
Jeremy E. Hutchings, M&A Advisor Jeremy provides valuable relations with owners and buyers alike within the Healthcare Products and Services and Material Handling industries. His coaching and mentoring business led him to IndustryPro as Jeremy sought solutions to owner succession. Astute in wealth management, Jeremy worked with Merrill Lynch's $50 million asset management team. At Integrated Marketing Group, an international marketing firm, Jeremy was responsible for detailed research and analysis of marketing trends, client competitors, and the hazards of specific markets. Jeremy and his wife participate in Big Brothers/ Big Sisters and Sowers of Hope. You'll also find Jeremy hiking or being trounced on the tennis court by his wife. Jeremy holds a B.A. degree from the University of Utah.
Erik Olafsson, M&A Advisor Erik's primary focus is the financial/business services industry. Erik's business ownership experience, including personally buying and selling businesses, gives him an understanding of the complexities involved in the sale of one's company. Erik has substantial experience in leveraged recapitalizations, management buyouts, private stock acquisitions, and asset sales. Erik previously worked as a mortgage broker and continues to actively invest in commercial real estate. He enjoys golfing, snow skiing, traveling, and spending time with his wife. Erik earned a B.S. with honors in accounting from the University of Utah.
Matthew J. Peterson, M&A Advisor Matthew's industry focus includes transportation/logistics and professional employer organization, apparel and construction. Prior to joining the IndustryPro team, Matthew served as a financial consultant with Tosh Financial, one of the largest and fastest growing neighborhood finance companies in the nation. Mr. Peterson began his career in the finance department at the American Standard Companies in Campinas, Brazil where he was involved in currency hedging, transfer pricing, financial reporting, cross border logistics and many other vital international finance activities. Matthew has spent significant time in many South and Central American Countries and is fluent in both Portuguese and Spanish. He is an active volunteer in the community and regularly works with many non profit organizations including Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Big Brothers/Big Sisters. He enjoys cycling, studying languages and being a fanatic sports fan. Matthew received a B.A. in Finance from the University of Utah.
Marchelle Morley, Office Manager Marchelle manages database integrity and daily operations of the office. Previous to IndustryPro, Marchelle trained and supported staff at two national financial advisory firms. She speaks German and enjoys playing the piano. She earned her B.A. at Brigham Young University-Idaho.
James Cordell, M&A Advisor James specializes in M&A advisory for the energy industry. Previous to joining IndustryPro in 2007, James worked for a boutique investment bank in their asset management division. While there, he performed research and analysis, did financial modeling, and made investment decisions regarding public companies. In addition to asset management, he has also worked in the mortgage and financial advisory industries. When he's not working, James enjoys waterskiing, camping, and watching movies with his wife. James earned a B.S. degree in Finance from Brigham Young University.
John Prothro, Managing Director - Asia John Prothro, Managing Director for IndustryPro Asia, coordinates IndustryPro's investment activity in North Asia. John holds a Master's degree in Organizational Communication from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt University. John is the founder and president of INsite OI, a due diligence firm specializing in organizational research as it pertains to M&A. Proficient in the areas of organizational learning, management, communication and culture, John has guided his clients through successful ventures using proven social science methods to evaluate company strength and compatibility. John has spent the last year developing his firm's presence in China and provides IndustryPro with an established understanding of cross-border research and dealmaking.
